Adam Gompertz
Former car designer and Church of England Priest, Adam Gompertz has loved cars since a ride in an Aston Martin at the age of 4. He has worked for MG Rover, Rolls-Royce Motorcars, Design Storz and Dubois Naval Architects, as well as being Artist in residence for Aston Martin Lagonda. Astons and Alfa Romeos are his main passion, but in truth anything with an engine is enough to hold his interest. He is particularly passionate about telling stories - hence the text that accompanies much of his work; the history of a car, the story of its owner, or design thoughts are all possible subjects. His technical drawing style is influenced by artists such as Gordon Crosby, and Bob Freeman, vehicle design presentation renderings as well as the sketchbooks of architects.
