William Francomb

William was born in Liverpool. Art was a passion throughout his youth becoming a self-taught artist producing a wide variety of realistic and figurative drawings and watercolours.

His attention to detail also helped him excel at technical drawing and he eventually went on to qualify as an Architectural Technician.

William now lives in Ormskirk and produces a wide variety of realistic and figurative paintings, predominantly in oils and acrylics, of subjects ranging from portraits, motor racing, scenery and animals.

In more recent years, he has had paid commissions, a painting selected for a juried exhibition in Chapel Gallery Ormskirk and exhibited at the Eden Gallery in Newburgh.

Photography is also a great passion of his and he uses photographs to produce unique realistic paintings of his subjects with a focus on capturing ‘moments’ and the life and essence of his subjects with colour and light.
